The remotewebguard.com system is as easy as 1,2,3
1. Complete an application form. The form contains questions relating to the level of filtering you desire. You can establish 'white-lists', 'black-lists', intelligent filtering, time-based filtering or any combination of these. The form will also ask to which email address reports and override request will be sent (if required).
2. A representative will contact you to finalize your application. Once payment has been confirmed we will schedule a remote installation session. These typically take 45 - 60 mins per machine. These sessions are done via the web; we do not need to come to your residence or place of business. We will request your authorization to access your PC at the start of the session.
3. THAT'S IT! You can start surfing again. Only now you will be limited to those sites and online services which you specified in your application. Any attempts to load un-authorized sites and services will be blocked. Any attempts to tamper with the webguard software will be blocked. All blocked attempts will be logged for report purposes.
Authorized Changes Only
We recognize there will be times when changes to your rule sets will be required. What happens if you need to access a site that is safe but is not included in your 'allowed' list? What happens if you want to go to CNN's website, but a 'risque' article is causing a block'? Our system allows you to request any kind of change at any time but these will only be effective upon approval from your designated authority. As soon as you request a change, it is immediately relayed to us. We then forward the request to your authority (sponsor, family member, friend, us) who then have the final say. Once approved, your PC is notified of the result instantly. In most cases approved changes will be effective within minutes of a request.
